Baltimore City Public Schools students offered admission to CTE-focused high schools through a ranked cut-score system.

Regression discontinuity on a strict admissions cut score, with the same marginal-admit limitation as the Massachusetts and Connecticut studies. Recorded as UNRESOLVED for two reasons. The full text is paywalled, so directions are known but magnitudes and standard errors are not. And the article carries a published corrigendum (10.3102/01623737241270353) whose content could not be read, meaning the published estimates were corrected after publication by an unknown amount. No numeric effects should be entered until the corrected version is obtained. This matters because it is the one US regression discontinuity whose academic signal points the wrong way.

Students offered admission to a CTE centre programme are significantly more likely to complete a CTE pathway but present significantly LOWER high-school GPAs. Attendance and SAT scores were also examined; directions were not recoverable at abstract depth.

Does NOT replicate the positive academic picture from Connecticut, where tenth-grade test scores rose 0.18 SD. It is the most useful counterweight in the topic, and it is the one source here whose numbers cannot currently be trusted.
